What's not to love?
Being a massive fan of hanging out in beach bars, an advocate of the growing trend for delicious tapas plates and a total Italiaphile, it didn't take long to say "absoluto" when Mish Haddad asked if Mystery would design 'Spiaggia' (simply meaning 'beach'), in London.
Working closely with the founder, Mystery worked strategically to help define a clear vision before designing the branding and interior design for this Italian tapas bar. Inspired by a selection of our favourite beach bar experiences, where classic cocktails flirt with spiandini skewers, piadini flatbreads and delizioso salads along with fortissimo tunes, we aimed to help create that quintessential beach-party vibe... in Fulham!
Mystery helped turn a dream to reality and provided excellent support and valuable expertise, from inception to realisation. It was a pleasure working with Mystery and I thoroughly recommend their services to all aspiring restauranteurs.

At 2,500 sqft split over two levels, the ground floor is designed as a sunny restaurant space. It includes a long blown glass tapas bar, white-washed timber decking, stripy fabrics and kitsch Italian hand-painted murals with neon signs. We designed the basement 'Lower Deck' with a pool bar cocktail lounge feel and low seating, a cabana day-bed and a selection of retro arcade games including the obligatory Italian baby-foot table. The Lower Deck also includes a popcorn machine and a large wall projector for beach-themed movie nights!
